Effinature – Certification biodiversité pour la conformité des allégations environnementales des projets immobiliers et territoriaux

Effinature est un dispositif de certification biodiversité développé par IRICE, fondé sur une évaluation indépendante par un organisme tiers conforme aux exigences de la norme ISO/IEC 17065.

Il permet d’objectiver et d’attester la prise en compte du vivant dans les projets immobiliers, urbains et territoriaux, au moyen d’une méthodologie structurée, auditable, traçable et vérifiable.

Le référentiel Effinature s’articule autour de six thématiques opérationnelles couvrant les composantes fonctionnelles de la biodiversité et leurs interactions avec le projet :

  • préservation du sol vivant ;
  • développement du patrimoine végétal ;
  • soutien de la faune locale ;
  • réduction des impacts du projet ;
  • bien-être des usagers ;
  • valorisation des compétences et des pratiques.

Effinature se décline en quatre référentiels couvrant l’ensemble du cycle de vie des projets :

  • Nouvelles Constructions (NCO) ;
  • Évolution (EVO) pour les sites existants ;
  • Haute Valeur Écologique (HVE) pour la gestion et l’exploitation ;
  • Horizon (HOR) pour l’aménagement et la planification territoriale.

La gouvernance méthodologique est assurée par le Biodiversity Standard Council, réunissant plus de 50 experts indépendants.

L’évaluation repose sur des indicateurs définis et vérifiables (Espace de Biodiversité Structuré, CBSh, IVE, ITCE…), permettant une lecture reproductible des résultats et leur mobilisation dans les cadres publics et réglementaires (ZAN, SNB) ainsi que dans les cadres européens et internationaux applicables (taxonomie européenne, SFDR, CSRD, cadre mondial pour la biodiversité).

Dans ce contexte, Effinature constitue un outil de certification et de reconnaissance formelle, contribuant à la sécurisation des allégations environnementales au sens de la directive (UE) 2024/825, sur la base de preuves évaluées de manière indépendante.

Effinature s’inscrit ainsi comme une infrastructure de confiance, au service des stratégies territoriales, de l’aménagement durable et de la finance responsable.

About Nina

A student at Sciences Po Paris, enrolled in the Master’s program in Territorial and Urban Strategies, Nina is interested in public policies at the territorial level as well as the challenges of ecological transition.

As part of a student project during her first year of the Master’s program, she worked with the National Housing Agency (Anah) on eco-design in urban renovation. She then took a gap year to gain more professional experience, completing two internships: the first with the City of Paris, where she contributed to the implementation of the first plan to combat energy poverty, and the second with the Paris Urban Planning Agency (Apur), where she worked on the territorialization of public health.

Currently in her second year of the Master’s program, she is beginning an apprenticeship with the association France Villes et Territoires Durables.

About Quentin

Motivated by climate issues and planetary boundaries, Quentin decided to study land use planning at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. His experience in associative field at the Fresque du Climat, helped him to better understand the stakes of the ecological bifurcation. Between his native Haute-Savoie and his home town Rennes, where he gained expertise in mobility and sustainable agriculture, he is now based in Paris to deploy the Sustainable City by France’s territorial workshops throughout the country.

About Sébastien

Before joining the SCbF team, he held several positions in local government management. From elected official and deputy mayor of his native city Besançon, in charge of university relations and international cooperation, to Director of Economic Development of the City of Pantin, to Chief of staff in Montreuil – where he notably piloted the in-depth redesign of the urban project towards more ecology and sustainable development – he continued his career as Senior Resilience Officer of the City of Paris.
He promotes a holistic and systemic vision of sustainable development and brings his expertise in territorial resilience, ecological and social transition.
